For the first time this year I've got a really bad case of designers block. My mind is struggling to think up something effective so I'm hoping this blog entry along with some idea generation techniques (courtesy of this website) will help me find a new direction for SPAM.
Initially I wanted to appeal SPAM to festival goers. It doesn't need a fridge and is compact meaning any coolers can be used for beers (something which is more of a priority than food). However, targeting it at festival goers limits the market dramatically which in turn means less sales. My next direction is taking the idea of not needing a fridge. Possibly create a campaign which shows the fridge as being a nuisance, an enemy or an obstacle in everyday situations. For example, trying to get into a cubicle but a huge fridge just stands in the way. Something along the lines of 'don't let a fridge ruin dinner' or something could be a potential tag line.
With just 3 full days to go, I've really got to work hard at this, hopefully the added pressure means my brain will suddenly get its arse into gear and I can get this project sorted.
