So, yesterday I had some much needed feedback on my ideas as I was struggling, in particularly with one idea, on how to execute the ideas. I had a good response about the ideas, with the ironed environment being a favourite.
I was struggling to work out how to illustrate the poster as I knew photography was out of the question. Luckily I was given a few styles and artists to look into. A diagram style or very crude illustration seemed to be a good choice, and experimentation with media such as water colour and scrap paper would open more options.
Therefore, my task now is to focus on this idea and really try and come up with as many variations as possible. I really want to try and do a series of three posters, one of the waves in the see, one of the clouds in the sky and one of the surface of a mountain. If I can come up with a good style that shows its extreme in a unique, eye catching way, then I'll have a great series of posters.
In terms of the trophies, I have got a battered iron from my university house and covered it with hazard tape. I need to tweak it a bit so it looks more professional, however, I feel the messy look adds to the idea its a damaged, dangerous iron.
