Le Gun

I attended a talk held at the University by Le Gun, a group of illustrators who have put together a magazine showcasing illustration. I felt I really benefited from this talk as I was being exposed to work I've never seen before, heard about the views and methods of the designers and also because I too am trying to set up a design magazine with some university friends. It was great to hear how they went about producing and funding the magazine.

I was also inspired to put up paper all over my room's wall and just draw (as they did in their basement). Whilst I'm not particularly and illustrator, I feel it would be a great way to improve my drawing skills and would be interesting just to see the outcome. I may even decide just to illustrate my dreams over the course of the first year at university, a bit like a dream diary.
